PixelPure is capable of producing an amazing 4,096 levels of gradation (16 times greater than an 8 bit processor) for a smooth, natural picture without image banding. PixelPure continuously monitors the incoming video signal, adjusting multiple picture quality parameters including real speed progressive scanning, dynamic gamma, and now dynamic back-light control and improved dynamic MPEG noise reduction. DynaLight™ Back-Light Control: DynaLight utilizes advanced PixelPure histogram image processing to monitor the brightness level of each video frame, and automatically adjusts the backlight intensity based on the image content. Precise signal analysis allows for 256 levels of backlight control. This creates seamless transitions, and a Dynamic contrast that is up to 5X that of the original panel contrast. The result is a considerably deeper black level for increased detail and depth. All 2007 REGZA models include DynaLight to create superior lifelike images, even in low light environments.
CineSpeed LCD panels: CineSpeed™ LCD panels have the 8ms or faster response speed necessary for cleaner high-action home theater images. A wide 176 degree viewing angle ensures that you’ll have the best seat in the house.
SoundStrip Speaker System™: This new speaker technology utilizes a thin-line speaker design with enhanced dynamic range. This eliminates the big round speakers, without losing any of the big home theater sound.
Native Mode™: Restores the size of the picture by the 3-5% that is generally lost during the normal over-scanning that occurs on traditional sets. It also avoids unnecessary scaling of HD signals that can reduce overall image resolution and picture quality.
StableSound®: This feature maintains television volume within a preset range regardless of the source signal. It eliminates the annoyance of normal program volume being followed immediately by extremely loud commercial messages or drastic volume fluctuations while changing channels.
Gloss black cabinet: New gloss black cosmetics complement the set and incorporate the slim SoundStrip™ speaker system, for rich full sound from a compact cabinet.
NTSC/ATSC/QAM tuner: The ATSC tuner lets you receive free digital broadcasts, including HD signals, through an over the air antenna. QAM allows you to receive unscrambled HD from your cable provider without a set top box. The NTSC tuner will allow you to tune in to analog signals until the 2009 cutoff.
HDMI: These 1080p digital inputs provide uncompressed digital video and digital audio in one convenient cable for connection from home theater components.
